Margaret Elizabeth “Peggy” Segovia, 76, of Honomu died Dec. 23 in Kapoho. Born in Wessington Springs, S.D., she was a retired radiological technician. Visitation 8-9 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 26 at Dodo Mortuary Chapel. Memorial service at 9 a.m. Urn committal service to follow at Hawaii Veterans Cemetery No. 2. Aloha attire. Shizue Tanaka, 89, of Hilo died Jan. 6 at Pohai Malama Hospice Facility. Born in Ola‘a, she was a retired Hilo Airport custodian, former Kaumana Elementary School cafeteria worker and member of Hilo Meishoin and Fujinkai, Maikai Kumiai, Fukuoka Kenjin Kai and United Public Workers Retirees. Survived by son, Wayne (Carol) Tanaka of Kailua, Oahu; daughters, Patricia (Leabert) Matsuo and Merle (Karl) Unoki of Hilo; brother, Takeshi Sakata of Hilo; sister, Kikue “Mary” Sueda of Ninole; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
